Some years ago, Air Ambulance did the talk at the AGM and requested donations to this essential charity. Those of us with no cash were offered the direct debit option. My thinking was that if emergency attention were needed in the countryside, Air Ambulance is essential. I get a lump in my throat every time I see them fly over and recently, we had cause to benefit from their services after a local took a tumble. They were here in no time at all along with a ground crew quick to administer aid. It is a travesty that they are run on charitable donations only but if you feel inclined to give just a small amount each month it could be a life saver!
